As every year, the members of Romilly Sports Association were gathered on the occasion of the 23rd general meeting in Romilly-sur-Andelle (Your).
In the presence of the mayor Jean-Luc Romet, and founding president, and of Xavier Chivot deputy mayor in charge of relations with associations, the president Caroline Sabourin painted the portrait of a very lively association, among the largest in the municipality in terms of number of members.
A disrupted year
At the beginning of her moral report, Caroline Sabourin first thanked the municipalities for the financial aid, the merchants and the volunteers. She then made a first assessment.
“We were able to manage both the problems due to the health crisis, the resignation of the yoga facilitator and his replacement as well as the cessation of badminton activity for middle school students. ”
In December 2021, the association had 305 members for 9 activity sections.
At the financial level, the president of RAS underlined that the traditional annual lotto of March 2022 had brought in €1,500 in profit and that the association had been awarded a “coup de Coeur” of €2,000 from the Community of communes Lyons Andelle.
Volleyball and feldenkrais
Since the takeover in September 2022, the association has ten sections. Indeed, if the badminton section for college students has been closed, two new ones have been opened.
Recreational volleyball is now practiced for two hours on Thursday evenings at the Jacques Anquetil gymnasium.
Another section to see the day: the feldenkrais (Monday and Friday at the Salle du Carré.
This new practice, named after the inventor Feldenkrais, is based on a method that leads to awareness of one’s body through movement in space, in the environment and through kinesthetic sensations.
The other eight sections are: the recreation-gym; adult gym; the senior gym; Table tennis ; badminton ; yoga; hatha yoga and pilates.
It is still possible to register
Of course, the number of members for this 2022-2023 season is not yet final. It is still possible to register.
RAS always offers two discovery sessions before choosing its specialty.
On the membership side, the prices have remained fixed, ranging from €60 to €120, depending on the discipline and age.
