Immediate redemption for the Spezia Basket Club Tarros that, after the defeat in the debut a
Castelfiorentino finds, on the second day, in the first of the championship in front of his own
audience, the first two points of the season.
Points that come with a set of applause. The bianconeri win and convince, clearly beating Mens Sana Basketball Academy Siena. The scoreboard at the end says: 88-76, but the margin could also have been much wider, given the 28 points behind at the end of the third fraction. The race practically ended there, allowing coach Scocchera to give everyone minutes in the last fraction and to try some variations, with a consequent, but always controlled, partial return of the opponents.
The La Spezia starts immediately well, then a phase of loss allows the guests to place a partial 0-13 that leads them to close the first fraction with the advantage (17-23). At the start of the second tempino, however, the break is scored by the hosts who then, thanks to the newfound accuracy in shooting, put the arrow and get into gear. The last ten minutes become an opportunity to play the whole roster and to try some changes of scheme and game, important tests in the future. Obviously Mens Sana partially returns, making the defeat less clear in numbers (88-76), but in essence the victory of the hosts is clear and deserved.
