Brian Robinson returns to training in the NFL after receiving two shots

Brian Robinson, rookie running back for the Washington Commanders de la NFLreturned to his team’s training camps on Wednesday after recovering from two gunshot wounds he received during an attempted robbery last August.

“I am a king of adversity because once the doctors told me that I could play again. My mind focused on that, on returning to the field. This is beautiful,” Robinson said at the end of the Commanders’ training.

The 23 year old rookie he received one of the shots in the buttock and another in the knee, which was saved from being affected in ligaments, tendons, or bones. Hence her full recovery.

Last week the former star of the University of Alabamaselected in the third round of the 2022 Draftwas cleared by the Commanders’ medical staff to return to the field after passing a series of strength and conditioning tests.

At the end of Wednesday’s practice, Washington’s coach, Ron Riverawas optimistic with the evolution of his player, although he stressed that he will not rush to put him in the game against the Titans this Sunday.

“You can see in him the joy to come back and that satisfies us all. He was filled with confidence the more activity he had. He looked very good but you have to be cautious and go step by step”, said the coach.

Brian Robinson participated in practice without limitations, or special care. He ran passing routes with quarterback Carson Wentz and executed running back drills that showed no side effects from the gunshot injuries sustained.
