Although Jaromír Jágr has not been active in the NHL for some time, his name still resonates overseas. The 50-year-old hockey player also figures in the list of the highest paid NHL players of all time.
According to the website Spotrac, Jaromír Jágr earned $135.3 million (approx. 3.4 billion crowns) during 25 seasons in the NHL, which ranks him as the third highest paid player of all time.
Only Alexander Ovechkin and Sidney Crosby figure before Jágr. The Russian gunner earned $138.2 million in 18 seasons, while the Canadian star is approaching the $150 million mark with $149.9 million.
The top 50 also includes Jakub Voráček, who earned 78.6 million dollars (approx. 2 billion crowns) during his career in the NHL and is ranked 47th in the table of the highest-paid hockey players in the world’s best hockey league.
