The timing couldn’t have been worse. Sent to Houston just a month ago following a transfer including eight players between the Rockets and the Thunder, Théo Maledon has just been cut by the Texas franchise, one week before the start of the season. The young French leader (21 years old), just haloed with the title of vice-champion of Europe after his campaign with the Blues this summer, therefore finds himself without a club.
If he wishes to continue his adventure in the NBA, Théo Maledon will certainly have to prove himself with another franchise and chain the “two-way contract” until obtaining a new proposal. Arrived in the NBA two years ago after a stint at Asvel, Maledon comes out of a mixed season in Oklahoma City, with only 18 minutes of playing time for averages of 7.1 points and 2.2 assists.
