Bane scores 31, Morant 22 and Grizzlies beat Kings 125-110

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — Desmond Bane made six 3-pointers and had 31 points, and the Memphis Grizzlies beat the Sacramento Kings 125-110 on Thursday, still winless this season.

Ja Morant had 22 points, dished out six assists and grabbed five rebounds. Earlier in the week, Morant and Bane each had 38 points in Memphis’ win over Brooklyn.

Brandon Clarke contributed 16 points to the account of the Grizzlies, who accumulate a record of 4-1, Tyus Jones scored 14 and Jake LaRavia, 13 coming off the bench.

De’Aaron Fox led the Kings with 27 points and six rebounds. Harrison Barnes had a season-high 20 points, and rookie Keegan Murray had 18. Domantas Sabonis had 11 points, 10 rebounds and six assists.

The Kings trailed by 16 points at the start of the fourth quarter and closed within six with 9:22 remaining, but the Grizzlies pulled back on the scoreboard again.

Sacramento is 0-4 under first-year coach Mike Brown, its worst start to a season since going 0-5 in 2019-20. It is one of the three teams that has not yet added a win this season, along with the Lakers and Magic.
