WINS Sports Day: A Fun-Filled Afternoon of Free Activities for Kids and Teens

Saturday 11 May from 3.30pm to 6.30pm. WINS – World International School of Turin, Via Traves 28, Turin.

Sport is fundamental, we know, but it is even more so for children: it shapes not only their body but also their character and spirit, teaching values such as discipline, determination, perseverance and respect for opponents.

This is why important players in the sector such as Palavillage – the largest Italian junior padel school – and Sci Club Sestriere – where great ski champions train – have chosen to support WINS SPORTS DAY, an afternoon of free sports activities dedicated to young people aged 4 to 15, organized by WINS – World International School of Turin. Exceptional partner Decathlon, which will be the technical sponsor providing the equipment.

On Saturday 11 May, from 3.30pm to 6.30pm, the WINS school in via Traves 28 is transformed into a rich sports playground, opening its spaces – from gyms to outdoor fields, from the swimming pool to multifunctional spaces – to children and teenagers who want to experiment beyond 15 different sports.

A unique opportunity to compete with many different disciplines, refine the technique of already known activities and approach new sports, all gathered in one place and with the best coaches: from padel with the Palavillage instructors, to pre-ski physical preparation activities with the trainers of the Sestriere Ski Club and also archery courses, camping labs, table tennis and soccer labs with Decathlon and basketball professionals, flag football, judo, five-a-side football, running, dance, dodgeball, swimming, yoga, volleyball, artistic gymnastics with local sports associations and WINS teachers.

For the occasion, WINS has thought of everyone, even adults, dedicating them an aquagym course held by BASWIM, scheduled for 4 and 5.30 pm.

Not only that, during the afternoon we will also talk about prevention and health thanks to the workshop organized by the Larc Group. In fact, it is often believed that drinking energy and sugary drinks is the correct post-sports routine. On this topic, nutritionist biologist Federica Bezzi will hold the meeting “Fruit juices, energy drinks and alcohol. How much do we really know?” to take stock of the risks of drinks which seem capable of triggering a sort of “addiction”, especially in adolescents and pre-adolescents. Furthermore, it will be possible for children to carry out an eye screening, in collaboration with Salmoiraghi&Viganò.

Participation in the event is free with online registration, you will only need to bring a pair of sneakers and, for those who wish, the swimming pool equipment.

WINS SPORTS DAY is created in collaboration with various partners who will make their staff and skills available to participants: Barbara Yoga Journey, BASWIM, Decathlon, Gruppo LARC, Judo Nubret Torino, Muyo Basket School, Palavillage, Passo a Due Scuola di Dance, Salmoiraghi&Viganò, Ski Club Sestriere.

Food partner: Maggiora, “EXCELLENT! GOOD IS NOT ENOUGH”, SPERANDRI srl.
