ALMERE (ANP) – Badminton player Mark Caljouw has been eliminated in the eighth finals of the singles of the Yonex Dutch Open. The 27-year-old first-seeded Dutchman lost in two games to the Dane Magnus Johannesen in the Topsportcentrum Almere: 21-15 21-12.
Aram Mahmoud did qualify for the quarterfinals. He beat seventh-seeded Brazilian Ygor Coelho in three games: 21-18 18-21 22-20.
Joran Kweekel, just like Caljouw, stranded in the eighth finals. He lost in three games to the Belgian Julien Carragi: 21-13 18-21 17-21.
