The international pillar of Toulon Jean-Baptiste Gros quickly came out injured against Castres on the 8th day of the Top 14. Bad news for the XV of France as the autumn tests approach. The club confirmed a broken bone to AFP.
The 23-year-old left pillar was forced out of the field in the 13th minute, visibly hit in the right wrist after a tackle on Castres third line Josaia Raisuqe.
In the absence of Toulouse’s Cyril Baille, injured, Gros was expected to start with the Blues for their three games in November against Australia, South Africa and Japan.
He was replaced on Saturday by neo-Toulonnais Dany Priso, also called up by coach Fabien Galthié to prepare for the fall tests.
