Tomelloso hosted the Castilla-La Mancha Men’s and Women’s Absolute Judo Championship, in which more than fifty participants gathered with the aim of obtaining a place for the Sector Phase of the Spanish Championship, which will be held on the 19th of November in Cádiz and that the Castilian-Manchego judokas will face Andalusia, Extremadura, the Canary Islands, Ceuta and Meililla to qualify for the final of the Spanish Championship.
The two representatives from Albacete, the Judo Club Albacete and the Judo Casas Ibáñez, obtained nine medals in total, one gold, four places and four bronzes, also achieving the team from the capital a second place in the classification by clubs.
The gold went to Miriam López, the silvers to Helena Zamora, David Olivas, Juan López and Pablo Cascales, and the bronzes to Pablo García, Marcos Garcías, Julio Cebrián and Ezequiel Puente.
