Towers: Wohlfarth-Bottermann and Samar at Basketball EM

Two pros from Veolia Towers Hamburg will be at the European Basketball Championship from September 1st to 18th. These are the newcomers Jonas Wohlfarth-Bottermann, who starts for the German national team, and Ziga Samar for Slovenia. Unfavorable for the Hamburg Bundesliga club: The duo is missing in the preparation for the season.
The 2.08 meter center Wohlfarth-Bottermann has returned to the DBB squad after a nine-year absence. 21-year-old guard Samar made his senior squad debut earlier this year. The two will face each other in preliminary round group B at the European Championships on September 6th. The group also includes: France, Lithuania, Hungary and Bosnia-Herzegovina. The game will be played in four countries: Germany (Berlin and Cologne), Georgia (Tbilisi), Italy (Milan) and the Czech Republic (Prague).
