If the prodigious rise of Carlos Alcaraz in 2022, culminating in his coronation at the US Open, was halted in the media by the retirement of Roger Federer, the famous American magazine TIME was not mistaken in integrating the Spanish phenomenon into its famous list of the 100 biggest emerging stars.
A ranking that is obviously not limited to tennis or sport, but includes social leaders, artists or people of growing influence on a global scale.
It is also quite rare to find athletes in this top 100 and even less athletes so young. As proof, there are only five athletes present this year with in particular the basketball player playing in the NBA, Ja Morant, or the very promising sprinter, Erriyon Knighton.
One thing is certain, Carlos Alcaraz marked the minds of the whole world during this year 2022.
