Girona has closed the squad a few minutes before midnight with the announcement of the hiring of Toni Villa. The Valladolid winger signs for three seasons, until 2025, with the letter of freedom and only a few variables to be paid by Girona if they are fulfilled. With 27 years and 155 games under his belt, Villa was quite an institution at Valladolid, who released him following Girona’s offer and seeing that his contract was up next June. Villa is a deep-lying left winger who can also play inside and who has long been liked by Girona’s sporting management. With Villa and Manu Vallejo, Girona closes a squad of 26 players to face the season.
