The football regional list 1. FC Bocholt reached the transfer market again on deadline day. An experienced regional league player comes to the Hünting.
Of the 1 FC Bocholt signed Mergim Fejzullahu (28). In return, head coach and sporting director Marcus John announced that attacker Dario Gerling (21) would leave the club for SV Schermbeck.
Winger Fejzullahu has signed a contract until June 30, 2023 at Hünting. The 28-year-old comes with the experience of 147 regional league games and twelve appearances in the 3rd division. Last season, Fejzullahu played for the regional league team Alemannia Aachen, where his contract expired this summer.
Mergim Fejzullahu During his career, he wore the jersey for 1. FC Saarbrücken, Alemannia Aachen and Eintracht Braunschweig – he played for Eintracht in the 3rd division.
Marcus John is happy about the qualities that the native Swiss with Albanian roots brings with him: “Mergim is a real one-on-one player who looks for direct duels on the wing and is very unpleasant to play with. He has regional league experience and will suit us hopefully bring a lot of joy with his style of play. We are pleased that we were able to sign this dribbling and offensively versatile player until next summer.”
Christopher Schorch, Assistant to the Executive Committee, arranged for him to play for the “Schwatten” from now on. “Christopher invited me to training and on Tuesday I did two sessions with the team. I already knew many of the boys from duels in the regional league and my expectations were totally fulfilled. I was really well received by the coaching staff and the team and for me everything worked out right away,” says Fejzullahu happily.
