This is how José Luis Palma suffered Liverpool’s defeat against Peñarol in Belvedere

The blue-and-black starter watched the first half leaning against a column very close to the goal from which his team was attacking.

With him, the procession goes inside, because it does not show too much how the party feels.

Few gestures, few words, more than anything, when a fan came to talk to him.

In the opening minutes he applauded Thiago Vecino when he received a cross from Rodrigo Rivero in the 25th minute.

The president of Liverpool, José Luis Palma, in Belvedere with Peñarol fans in the background

Shortly before the end of the first half, he looked in the back right pocket of his Levi’s pants for a cell phone, and immediately put his hand in the left pocket to look at another.

Every so often, he looked at the clock in a first half in which Liverpool played better than in the complement.

At the end of it, he went to the dressing room with others close to his institution.

In the second half, the cold reached Belvedere and he put on a jacket, and stood again, on a column, but from the other sector, since Liverpool attacked towards the opposite goal.

When Axel Prado was sent off, he made no gesture. He stood looking to see what was happening.

Pablo González’s free kick from Liverpool hit the crossbar at the end against Peñarol

About 86 minutes, Pablo González, the same one who had converted the goal for Liverpool in the Campeón del Siglo Stadium against Peñarol, had a reaction.

He went to raise his hands to shout the goal, but the ball hit the crossbar and bounced off.

Two minutes later came Peñarol’s goal after a corner shot by Brian Lozano from the right.

Brian Mansilla, the youth player, converted his first goal for the coal team in the First Division.

Here you can see the two reactions of Palma in those plays, the shot on the crossbar for Liverpool, and how he suffered Peñarol’s goal:
