The School for Equality opens registration for its activities

The Councilor for Equality of the Toledo City Council, Ana Abellán, has presented the activities of the Toledo School of Equality for the period between September 30 and December 18, which will take place in all neighborhoods and has as its main novelty an intergenerational meeting with a storyteller in the Santa Bárbara senior center where grandparents and grandchildren from 4 to 10 years old will share a space with the aim of creating a future of equality. With the title ‘Cuéntamelo Igual: María Olvido’ it is on September 30 with free admission until full capacity is reached and it will start at 6:00 p.m.

The registration period is now open to participate in the rest of the program. On October 3, 4 and 5, the Paseo de Sisebuto Municipal Training and Employment Center hosts a Women’s Self-Employment Workshop for a maximum group of 15 people.

On October 21, the Auditorium of the Buenavista Civic Center offers the Storytelling ‘Ellas son las protas’ for families with children between 4 and 10 years of age.

On October 28 at the Hotel Boutique Adolfo (Plaza de Zocodover, 14) a Dramatic Gathering-Coffee is held on Clara Campoamor, starting at 6:00 p.m.

On November 2, 3, 4 and 7, the Valparaíso Social Center will host a psychotherapeutic workshop called ‘Narrating intimacy. Writing workshop’, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

On November 12, the theatrical route ‘Women who inspire’ begins in Zocodover at 8:00 p.m. On November 27 there is an interactive family theater ‘Where do we begin’, in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento starting at 12:00, aimed at families with young children.

Other novelties proposed by users are a Women’s Self-Protection Conference, with fear and stress management ‘I know how to defend myself alone’, on December 10 and 11 in the Judo Room of the Santa María de Benquerencia sports hall from 10:00 a.m. at 1:00 p.m.

On December 16, starting at 6:00 p.m., the Thalía Hall of the Santa María de Benquerencia Civic Center hosts the monologue ‘Las sinsombrero del Juanelo: IV edition of music and literature’.

And on December 14, 17 and 18, the facilities of the CEI Basketball Club will be the space chosen to hold the workshops to promote equality and prevent gender-based violence in sport.
