On September 23 and 24, the La Rioja Province Cup will be taking place, an engaging friendly competition that will be played in preparation for the 2022/23 National League. The proposal will have the attractive seasoning of having the participation of four teams from the highest category of Argentine basketball: the last champion Instituto de Córdoba, Quimsa de Santiago del Estero, Obras Basket and Riachuelo de La Rioja. The Superdomo stadium in La Rioja will be the stage that will receive the tournament. The complex, located on Avenida Los Cactus and the inner street of Parque de La Ciudad, is one of the most important in the country and is the home of Riachuelo for its La Liga matches. It has a capacity for 11 thousand people in sporting events, its covered area is 8,300 square meters and the glazed dome stands out (it is 46 meters high), the ample parking space and the improvements that have been made since its inauguration. in 2015.
The Copa Provincia de La Rioja will be a great opportunity for La Liga teams to fine-tune details towards the official start of the season, which will take place on October 5 in Córdoba with the clash between the defending champion Instituto receiving Independiente de Oliva in Angel Sandrin.

This will be the first edition of a preparatory tournament that has as an extra seasoning to transcend, not only at a sporting level but also as a massive and social event.
