The start of Serie A UnipolSai will be preceded this week by the Frecciarossa Supercoppa scheduled in Brescia on Wednesday 28 and Thursday 29 September. It will be an extremely exciting year, with increasingly competitive teams, thanks also to the return to the Euroleague (also this year exclusive to Sky Sport) of two Italian clubs (EA7 Emporio Armani Milano and Virtus Segafredo Bologna), an event that had not happened since 2015. The 2022/23 season will also see the return to the Italian top league of Verona and Scafati, who have returned to Serie A after 20 and 14 years respectively.
Gandini: “The competitiveness of the championship has grown”

The fact of having two teams at the start of the top European club competition is an important fact that confirms the increased competitiveness of the league, for which now the clubs must continue to work to make our tournament even more exciting. “
Petrucci: “The championship is even more interesting”
Fip president Gianni Petrucci: “It will be an even more interesting championship for the reinforcement of all the clubs. I asked federal presidents not to overdo the controversy over referees. I hope it will also be a more peaceful championship. There are many good players: I presume they will be called up by Pozzecco who made a good result, he showed himself in all his abilities. ”
