The Federal Administration of Public Revenues (AFIP) verified today that, of the 541 monotributistas who bought tickets to see the Argentine soccer team at the World Cup in Qatar, 151 do not have income that can justify buying those tickets.

73 days before the start of the World Cup, the collecting agency put the magnifying glass on those monotributistas who bought tickets to travel to Qatar to see the matches of the team led by Lionel Scaloni. It found that 28 percent of them do not have additional income from the activities included in the aforementioned tax regime.

In this sense, it was explained in a statement that “through the analysis of the alerts originating in the risk matrix of the General Directorate of Social Security Resources (DGRSS) and the General Tax Directorate (DGI), the AFIP analyzed the tax situation of 151 taxpayers registered in categories A and B of the Monotax, the lowest of the same” and found irregularities.

In that line, the body led by Carlos Castagneto assured that “it will continue to carry out controls, crossing information with tourism agencies to detect who bought tickets or packages to attend the World Cup; with the Migration Directorate to verify who traveled to that event; and with credit cards to verify the expenses incurred. in Qatar in the days before the start and during the development of the competition”.
