THE JUNIOR CADET PAN AMERICAN CUP AND JUDO PAN AMERICAN OPEN BEGIN IN SEPTEMBER

The Lima 2022 Pan American Open is the contest that, with the support and help of the IPD, seeks to allow judokas from more than 15 countries to add points that allow them to get closer to the goal of qualifying for Santiago 2023 and Paris 2024 in order to represent Peru. On the other hand, the Junior and Cadet Pan American Cup positions athletes in the World Ranking.

The president of the Peruvian Sports Federation of Judo, María Martínez Murciego, has been developing major events in the country that allow our national athletes to maintain their level of competition high and also to add points for the next events.

Through a press conference, the President of the Federation mentioned her expectations for the start of this championship.

“It is an honor for us to host events on the International Federation circuit. On behalf of the Peruvian Judo Federation, I am pleased to invite you to participate in the Cadet and Junior Pan American Cups that will add important points in the world ranking of these categories. As well as the Pan American Open that will allow our athletes to accumulate points in the classification ranking for the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games and the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.”

“These events will be held in the city of Lima from September 14 to 18, 2022, as hosts we are working to ensure all the necessary measures that guarantee the health of the judo family and thus ensure that everyone enjoys their stay with us”.

We want to thank the Pan American Judo Confederation and the International Judo Federation for their support and confidence in organizing these events in Lima. Our best wishes for good health and strong spirits to all participants, welcome to Peru!”

It is worth mentioning that the Federation of said sport has been carrying out the Open, Continental Cup, among others, with great success in 2020, 2021 and 2022. Everything has been strictly verified and organized so that the health bubble, after the Covid 19 pandemic , take care of athletes and prevent the spread of the virus. The championship was handled in an impeccable way, visualizing every detail.

The Videna High Performance Center will again receive another great event this year where more than 150 athletes will be present giving their all to be able to leave the name of their country high and be able to raise the long-awaited support. In the next few days tickets will be going on sale so you can attend and be part of this great event.
