TORREMAGGIORE (FG) – For the third consecutive year and with a renewed formula it is back “Suggestion Under the Flower”the event promoted by the Municipality of Torremaggiore, Puglia Region and Teatro Pubblico Pugliese and with the collaboration of local associations: “don Tommaso Leccisotti” cultural activity center, Florentinum flag-wavers and musicians association, cultural association of historical archers Turris Maior and APS Insieme per Fiorentino.
Suggestions Sub Flore will be held on 3-7-9-10-11 September not only at the Castelfiorentino archaeological park but also in some important places in the city of Torremaggiore.
Suggestions Sub Flore is transformed, therefore, into a week-long event that celebrates not only Florentine, but an entire urban center that, for the occasion, evokes the ancient medieval splendor.
It starts on 3 September at 4.30 pm on the Castelfiorentino site with the medieval camp, the theatrical guided tour, the virtual tour and the final show “Fridericus apud Florentinum” directed by Daniela Ciavarella.
The events continue on 7 September with a guided tour by the Leccisotti Cultural Activities Center and the Ars Artis theater group; on the 9th with the mass of the Palio and the theatrical show “Interview with Federico II” directed by Davide dell’Oglio; on the 10th with the historical re-enactment of the arrival of refugees from Fiorentino with departure from the municipal villa and arrival at the mother church.
It has been chosen to represent the arrival and reception of refugees from Fiorentino in Torremaggiore, in the historic center, after the destruction of the city of Castel Fiorentino. The refugees, thus, gave life to the historic center, still called “Codacchio”.
The week ends on 11 September with the Festa del Palio, which is contested by the four Contrade of Torremaggiore: Codacchio – San Nicola, Santa Maria dell’Arco, Santa Maria della Strada and Torrevecchia. Races consist of tests of strength, dexterity and skill shown by horses with their jockeys.

LOCAL ASSOCIATIONS
· CULTURAL ACTIVITIES CENTER “Don Tommaso Leccisotti” – for 35 years it has been organizing the historical reenactment “Historical parade of Florentine and Federico II” – deals with research and realization of scenic performances on Federico II.
· FLORENTINUM FLAGGING AND MUSIC ASSOCIATION – made up of young and very young people, it deals with the dissemination of the art of flag waving accompanied by musicians – they carry out shows during historical re-enactments for events and demonstrations around Italy.
· CULTURAL ASSOCIATION OF HISTORICAL ARCHERS TURRIS MAIORIS – deals with the promotion and dissemination of the art of archery according to a precise historical research. They carry out performances, demonstrations especially for the youngest.
· APS “TOGETHER FOR FIORENTINO” – created to safeguard the archaeological park of Castelfiorentino, it has embarked on its path of promotion and information regarding the “Places of the heart” census not to be forgotten, promoted by the FAI.
