The fourth day of the 71st Spring Tohoku District High School Baseball Prefectural Tournament was held on the 20th, with four second round games being played at Kitagin Ball Park in Morioka City and Hanamaki Stadium in Hanamaki City, with Mizusawa Commercial, Takada, Hanamaki Higashi, Morioka Seizakura. won, and the top eight schools will be seeded for the summer Iwate tournament.
Mizusawa Commercial won a close match against Morioka Commercial, 12-7, and advanced to the final eight for the first time. Takada defeated Hajime Morioka 3-2, advancing to the quarterfinals for the first time in eight years. Last summer’s Iwate tournament champion Hanamaki Higashi defeated Ichinoseki 2 6-0, and Morioka Seio defeated Kuji Higashi 5-2.
The quarterfinals will be held at both stadiums on the 22nd, one day apart, to determine the final four.
