Shakira ET Gerard piqueOMS announced their separation in June, there was a seemingly unpleasant encounter with each of their 9-year-old sons, Milan‘s, baseball game in Barcelona this weekend. The pair sat on either side of the pitch during the game on Saturday, September 24 and didn’t even look at each other until the game was over when they went to interact with their two sons. They also share a 7-year-old Sacha, who left the match with Gerard. Shakira, 45, was accompanied by her mother, Nidia Ripolland some of his friends as a player at the 35-year-old La Liga club sat with his mother, Montserrat Bernabéu.
The ‘Hips Don’t Lie’ hitmaker appeared quite animated in photos taken of her at the game and cheered on her son with a smile. She was also seen sitting alone in the pit, where she seemed less excited. Shakira wore a black t-shirt and light skinny jeans, paired with a light yellow, gray and white jacket. The jacket had a purple zippered pouch on the left arm and an orange banner that said “hold back” on the upper back. It’s unclear if the post was meant for her ex, her adoring fans, or just an interesting fashion choice. She completed her look with bright yellow slides and black undertones. She let down her caramel colored hair.
Meanwhile, the professional footballer looked relaxed in black jeans, a black t-shirt and a blue denim jacket. He accessorized his outfit with white sneakers and a blue New York Yankees baseball cap. His 7-year-old son was seen leaving with him after the game.
The difficult meeting came a few days later Shakira talked about is separated for the first time. “It’s really difficult to talk about it in person, especially since it’s the first time I’ve addressed this situation in an interview. Shakira and Gerard met in 2010 when Shakira was filming her music video for her 2010 FIFA World Cup song, “Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)” and started dating soon after. They never married. Shakira is currently single, while Gerard continued with the PR student Clara Chia Marti. The pair would have been seen kissing at a music festival in Catalonia, Spain, in August, an insider said HL Shakira upset.
