Selective basketball teams of the BUAP go up in category in the ABE League

The BUAP debuted in the tournament Student Basketball Associationwith their men’s and women’s basketball teams, which held their first meeting in the division II (ABE League), where they faced the Foals of the Autonomous University of the State of Mexico.

The first to play their match were the women’s teams at the BUAP Arena, where the she-wolves fell with a score of 71 a 75. For their part, the men’s teams, although they gave their best effort on the court, the final score did not favor them: 86 a 93.

“It is the first day in a tournament in which we are debuting; there is not much to worry about, but there is a lot to work on. We cannot repeat the small mistakes we made, we have six more days as locals to recover and leave the name of the university very high”, he commented. The BUAP teams that contributed the most points were Tania Lopezwith 24, and Jeimy Mezawith 12. In the male branch, Erick Rodriguezwith 21 points, and David Almazancon 16.

The BUAP teams participate for the first time in this league, located in Division II, of the Center-East Conferencefor the 2022-2023 season, in which they share a group with universities such as La Salle Mexico, IBERO Mexico City, Veracruzana University, UVM Center and National Autonomous University of Mexicoamong other.
