1800 euros fine for youth coaches
Hanover – Judgment in the process of assault during a football game.
Because he had attacked a referee, a youth coach (45) from Badenstedter SC was fined 1800 euros on Friday (150 daily rates of 12 euros).
At the C youth game against TuS Wettbergen, the coach ran onto the pitch after a player scuffle, attacked referee Denise Hartmann (35) and injured her. Lawyer Dennis Jlussi, who represented the arbitrator in the joint action: “The verdict is a good signal. Violence has no place on the pitch.”
In the trial before the district court in Hanover, the coach denied the assault and now wants to appeal.
