Rajeckis admits that the level of teams in Norway is quite different – Floorball – Sportacentrs.com

“In the game against “Rubeni”, which we won with the result 8:4, we did not fully play our episode in defense. Position changes on the field led to goal losses. Perhaps we were too focused on the attack, as a result of which we left the defensive play in the background,” the defender admitted about the four goals conceded in the first third of the match against the Kocēni team.

Taking into account that the floorball player had gone to test his skills outside of the country for one season, last year playing as part of the “Harstad IBK” team in the Norwegian Superleague, contributing to the team’s first entry into the championship semi-finals, it was interesting to ask about the differences in levels between these two tournaments: “In the Norwegian championship, the team the difference in skill levels is very impressive. Especially if you compare the leading teams with the bottom of the table. In the matches in which we played against the strongest teams, you can feel the difference more in the fact that there are several experienced and older players. Referees also allow more power plays. You could say that Norway’s leading teams play more balanced floorball with less rushing. But it is only in games between TOP four teams. The others, however, are significantly weaker teams with only a couple of good players in the team. It must be said that there was a feeling that “Rubene” also lacked two or three players with more experience in the game against us.”

In the opening game of the season, “Lekrings” beat “Rubeni” in Cēsis with the result 8:4, Jānis Rajecki scoring three goals and one assist. In the continuation of the championship, the Česi players are scheduled to play on September 17, when they will have to meet the floorball players of Bauska on the road.
