PSG: the international program during the break

In Paris, the international truce is never really a truce. This month again, after the Parisians have chained seven matches in the last 21 days (6 wins, 1 draw), fifteen of the twenty-seven players who make up the expanded professional group, including the young people of the “elite” group, will be mobilized with their selection at the end of September.

Eight Parisians in the League of Nations

Among them, several will be particularly affected by League of Nations matches. France, of course, will receive Austria at the Stade de France this Thursday, September 22 and will go to Copenhagen to face Denmark on Sunday, September 25 with, in its ranks, Kylian Mbappe. It is, with the injury of Presnel Kimpembe, the only Parisian on the list of Didier Deschamps.

League of Nations still, the Spanish coach Luis Enrique has summoned paul sarabia and the new Parisian recruit Carlos Soler to face Switzerland (September 24) and Portugal (September 27). Tipped in the list, Sergio Ramos, who is making a good start to the season with PSG, and Fabian Ruiz, were ultimately not selected. Italy from Gianluigi Donnarumma, who will not participate in the World Cup, will play his last two matches of 2022 against England in a remake of the final of the last Euro (September 23), and against Hungary (September 26). Summoned by Roberto Mancini, Marco Verratti, injured against Lyon on Sunday, first joined the selection on Monday to be examined by the Italian medical staff and was declared forfeit by the coach.

The most represented selection in the Parisian ranks, Portugal, will finally play its two matches against the Czech Republic (September 24) and Spain with three Reds and Blues: Nuno Mendes, Vitinha et Danilo Pereira. Renato Sanches is still recovering.

Big trip for Messi’s Argentina, the Brazilians not out of place

The rest of the Parisians concerned will be affected by friendly matches. The Morocco of Achraf Hakimi will play two games in Spain, against Chile (September 23) and Paraguay (September 27). Argentina’s Lionel Messi, who will find the two former Parisians Leandro Paredes and Angel Di Maria, will go to the United States to play Honduras (September 22) and Jamaica (September 27). Finally, Brazil will perform in France, against Ghana in Le Havre (September 23) then against Tunisia at the Parc des Princes (September 27), an opportunity for Neymar et marquinhos to show their compatriots around their enclosure.

It should also be noted that three young players from the elite group, made up of the club’s best U19s, have been selected for youth selections: Ismaël Gharbi with the U19s of Spain, for two matches (against Albania on September 24, against Belgium on September 27), as well as El Chadaille Bitshiabu et Warren Zaire-Emery with the French U19s. Another Parisian, defender Younes El Hannach, was also called up by Lionel Rouxel. They will play three matches in an international tournament in Serbia: against Portugal (September 22), Finland (September 24) and Serbia (September 26).
