Play resumes on the British PGA and Sergio García withdraws

The first day of BMW PGA Championship It resumed this Saturday after being suspended on Thursday minutes after learning of the death of Queen Elizabeth II. The BMW PGA Championship will be played over 54 holes with the intention of finishing this Sunday as planned. It is not possible to play the full 72 holes and finish on Monday as the DP World Tour cannot guarantee staff, facilities or venue security on Monday due to ongoing plans for Queen Elizabeth II’s state funeral.
