Le Chambon-sur-Lignon: an outdoor shooting range project under study for archers

The leaders of the Vivarais-Lignon archery club have reactivated a dormant project: the creation of a shooting range to shoot arrows.

Two sites have been targeted to carry out this development of outdoor firing points. These are the Pré Chaudier and the stadium. Each time, reservations exist from the point of safety. On the pre Chaudier, it is the passage of the road. And along the stadium is the presence of the neighboring campsite. A meeting with the town hall is scheduled for September to move forward.

At the start of the season, the Archers of Vivarais-Lignon are in great shape at the Salle des Bretchs where they train on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Demand is exploding and the club is running out of space. Between 45 and 47 people are interested. Opening up more slots also means calling on more volunteers who already give a lot to the club.

“We are going to form a good group of competitors”, announce Daniel Agin, the coach, and Jérôme Provost, the president.

The club emerges from a 2021-2022 season with two titles and a podium: gold medals in recurve for the youngest Sarah Gibert and the senior Sonia Savenier, a silver medal, still in recurve, for the minimal Titouan Provost.
