Nîmes: the main lines of the Telethon 2022 unveiled

Léanne, publishing godmother

It is a 9-year-old girl who will be, for the Gard, the godmother of this 2022 edition. It is Léanne. She suffers from Duchèsne muscular dystrophy, very rare in girls, which was diagnosed two years ago. Educated in CM1 in Redessan, Léanne practiced archery in Manduel, guitar at the Redessan conservatory and golf in Saint-Roman. On November 19, on the Beaucairois greens, she will also participate in an initiation day in the presence of professional player Eric Zancanaro. The benefits of this day will be donated to the Telethon.

Beaucaire flagship city

In the Gard, Beaucaire will be the flagship city this year. Among the activities, baptisms in nacelles which will be offered by Enedis, partner of the Gard Sud AFM Téléthon coordination.

Already 1,000 euros collected

Because it is not easy to play pétanque in December, Camargue boule 2000 has anticipated its actions. The Grau-du-Roi club has already organized a petanque tournament. “He brought in 1,000 euros”, welcomes Pascale Loison.

Nearly €850,000 collected in 2021

It is precisely €848,627, including €436,767 during the many field events, which were collected in the Gard during the 2021 edition. “We were very close to the 2019 edition before Covid”, underlines Pascale Loison.
