National: the Briochins saved on the gong against Orléans!

The Briochins went to pick a valiant draw, after stoppage time, while a new defeat awaited them. A turnaround that will do them a world of good.

National (7th day). Briochin Stadium – US Orleans: 1-1

And suddenly, Morgan Jean-Pierre appeared! The six minutes of stoppage time were already well underway. He himself did not believe too much in the ball which had returned to him, despite being cleared by the defense of US Orléans. But the left side came forward, he controlled the ball and executed a magnificent half-volley which deceived Viot.

We were therefore playing the 93rd minute of play. At ten against ten, the Orléanais had retreated enormously, thinking of quietly bringing victory to Loiret. But the Griffins, cornered by Guillaume Allanou since Monday, so they rebelled. And they were frankly applauded when they left the field.

The revolt has sounded

Their merit is great. Huge, indeed. Because before this insane epilogue, all the signs had been against them. All the little game facts.

To start, after the Orléanais Goujon found the post (27′), there was a nice shot from Illien which Viot deflected superbly (29′). Kerbrat, with the tip of his foot, then thought of equalizing, before Pagerie saved on his line (44′). On the restart, Sow’s header went wide (54′). That of Gomis was again miraculously diverted by Viot (62′). Niaye unscrewed his half-volley (68′) then was blocked in the penalty area (89′). In short, hope was largely frayed when Jean-Pierre (a player who should have left this summer!) had his tremendous inspiration.

Opposite, the US Orléans of Ahmad Allée has above all asserted its solidity. A bit of his talent, too, when Kévin Fortuné played with Kerbrat and Brass to open the scoring just before half-time (41′). But hope had already gone up a notch when Elimbi, for a second yellow card, was also sent off (69′). Ten minutes after Remars, the Briochin leader, guilty of an uncontrolled tackle (59′). A sign in favor of the Briochins, that one. Before the revolt is registered on the bulletin board. In large.
