MLB – Baseball: Summary of the matches of Saturday September 17 in the American

Marwin Gonzalez of the Yankees left the game on Saturday after being knocked out by a completely missed throw from Brewers receiver Victor Caratini. The game ended 4-1 in favor of the Brewers. Milwaukee is thus temporarily approaching a game from the Padres and the last team drafted in the National.

Gonzalez had just watched Brandon Woodruff’s pitch when Caratini wanted to return the ball to his pitcher. The receiver instead threw the ball directly at the Yankees player’s helmet. The shortstop did not return to the game after the streak.

Willy Adames gave the Brewers a 3-0 lead with his 30th homer of the season in that same third inning. Josh Donaldson’s 15th cut the lead to 3-1 in the fourth, but a Christian Yelich double in the next set put Milwaukee in control by three.
