Vice-champion “Rubene” wins the first victory

In the new season, the ELVI floorball league men’s vice-champion “Rubene” (Kocēni) achieved its first success, which tonight in Đadaži with 13:11 beat the team FBK SĂAC. Kristers Babris was the most productive among the winners with 6 (2+4) points.

The vice-champion “Rubene” (Kocēni) came to the Ādaži sports house as the bottom of the tournament table, as she had only scored one point in the two games so far. FBK SĀC, which is only playing its second season in the Premier League, fared better – two points in two matches. The result of the game was revealed already in the 1st minute, when Kristers Orlov from Kočen scored accurately (1:0). In the 3rd minute, the hosts took a penalty kick, but did not use this opportunity, however, in the 6th minute, Alvis Dāle restored a draw – 1:1. After the first period, the lead with 3:1 was in the title “Rubene”. In the 36th minute, the home team managed to equalize – 4:4, however, by the second break, the guests were already in the lead again with a two-goal handicap – 6:4. In the last third, the opponents scored goals alternately, but this allowed “Rubene” of Kocēni to protect their two-goal advantage until the final whistle, celebrating the victory with 13:11 in this 24-goal game.

Matīss Celms, who scored four goals, was recognized as the best player among the winners. Dāvis Zēmels had exactly the same number of assists, but Kristers Babris was the most productive with 6 (2+4) points. Markus Eduards Pazāns, Kristers Orlovs and Atis Stepāns scored two goals each. Dēvids Osītis was the most productive member of FBK SĀC with 6 (3+3) points, while Alvis Dāle and Ralfs Celminņš collected 4 (2+2) points each, who was awarded the best player award. Jānis Boroduškas scored 3 (1+2) points, while Niks Naglins collected 2 (1+1) points. After this victory, “Rubenei” of Kocēni has four points in the tournament table and climbed to the 6th place. FBK SĂAC dropped to the penultimate position with two points.
