Judo. Olympic champion Clarisse Agnegnenou will enter the Grévin museum

Clarisse Agbegnenou (29) will have the right, from October 4, to her wax statue in the famous Grévin museum in Paris.

The reigning Olympic champion (also titled as a team) simply has the biggest record among women with five gold medals at the European Championships (2013, 2014, 2017, 2018, 2020), five world titles (2014, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021).

First sport since Mauresmo and Longo

She had been designated flag bearer of the French delegation at the last Tokyo Games, alongside Samir Aït-Saïd.

Good news for women’s sport since no sportswoman had not been represented there since Amelie Mauresmo et Jeannie Longo. The last judoka was Brigitte Deydier in 1988.

She will sit alongside sports legends like Tony Parker, Kilian Mbappe, Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Skinor Martin Fourcade.
