The WORLD MARTIAL ARTS GAMES 2022, a multidisciplinary martial arts championship organized by the WMAC, World Martial Arts Committee, took place in Podcetrtek from 23 to 25 September in Slovenia.
There were teams from all over the world: USA, NEPAL, SWITZERLAND, ITALY,
UKRAINE, GERMANY, SPAIN, CZECH REPUBLIC, LEBANON, AUSTRIA, HUNGARY,
SLOVENIA, CROAZIA, LIECHTENSTEIN, WALES, NETHERLAND, POLONIA, IRAN,
ENGLAND, TURKEY, ARMENIA.
The athletes of the Judo Club Sakura Arma di Taggia asd, belonging to the
FIJLKAM (Italian Federation of Judo, Wrestling, Karate, Martial Arts)
participated in the SELF DEFENSE specialty, a competition
technique based on self-defense, where realism, speed, technique
and precision make the difference to obtain a good result.
Many participants, divided by age and grade, who are
compared on the tatamis of the Slovenian structure.
The Sakura agonists, accompanied by the Masters ANDREA MOLINARI and
MANUELA FERRIGNO, have well expressed their ability and hard
preparation, which lasted almost seven months, has given the right fruits!
At the end of the day the “loot” of Team Sakura was the following:

black belts;
ANDREA RAZZANI – gold medal adult male category +18 up to
brown belt;
EROS TROMBETTI – gold medal adult male category + 45 up to
brown belt
MAYA WELCOME – silver medal female category under 18 up to
brown belt;
ELISA ANTELLINI – silver medal female category +18 up
the brown belt;
LUANA FLORIO – silver medal female category +45 fine
the brown belt;
ROBERTO CREPALDI – bronze medal male category + 18 up to
brown belt;
NOEMI WELCOME – bronze medal female category + 18 up to
brown belt;
CHIARA BAZZANI – bronze medal female category + 18 up to
brown belt
SAVERIO TAURINI – bronze medal male category + 45 up to
brown belt.
When you thought you had finished on Sunday, another big one arrives
satisfaction for the partnership of Arma di Taggia: the President of
WMAC, Harald Folladori, calls the technicians of the Judo Club Sakura Arma di
Taggia asd and rewards them as Coach of the Best Team of the Championship
Mondo declaring, during the award ceremony, the textual words: WORLD
CHAMPION BEST TEAM TODAY.
