Janna Götzen achieved second place at

Holzwickede/Attendorn. The judo district championships for men and women U18 recently took place in Holzwickede. Jakob Hullerum and Janna Götzen started for TV Attendorn.


Jakob Hullerum had to deal directly with the reigning German champions in his pool at the start. The young man from Attendorn was certainly not a windfall and stood up to the man from Witten for a long time. Jakob Hullerum’s second encounter was also very offensive.

In the third fight, the Attendorner was finally rewarded for his efforts. After a counterattack on the ground, Jakob Hullerum choked and forced his opponent to surrender. The competition management had to calculate to the second whether this victory was enough for the semi-finals. In the end, a few points were missing and Jakob Hullerum took fifth place.

Liberation with leg brace

Janna Götzen had to deal with two opponents in her pool. Despite a good start, the first encounter was lost to the eventual winner. The second fight seemed almost lost. After a throw, Janna Götzen found herself in the opponent’s hold.

By freeing her with a leg clamp, she was able to solve the precarious situation. Now it was all or nothing and so Janna Götzen launched a nice attack and carried her opponent to the ground with a hip technique.

She achieved second place and the associated qualification for the West German Championships. Janna’s Götzen training partner Magdalena Granek from Tus Volmetal was also happy. She also qualified for the West German Championships.
