Jupiler Pro LeagueKV Kortrijk booked a satisfying victory in Eupen last weekend, but the victory was somewhat overshadowed by an angry Didier Lamkel Zé. When he was replaced, the Cameroonian promptly went to the changing rooms. Lamkel Zé didn’t give his coach a look and shouted: “He’s playing my shit.”
KV Kortrijk said goodbye to Karim Belhocine this week and appointed Bosnian Adnan Custovic as new coach on Thursday. For Custovic it was a return to the old nest, because in the 2014-2015 season he was assistant coach to Yves Vanderhaeghe.
Custovic dropped Lamkel Zé in the starting line-up, but he underperformed. The enfant terrible was – rightly – replaced after 64 minutes. The Cameroonian was clearly not happy with that. He didn’t give Custovic a glance and frantically searched the dressing room. “Actually, I have no reaction to his substitution,” Custovic said afterwards. “There is no problem. Didier was just disappointed that he had to leave.”
KV Kortrijk finally won Am Kehrweg after a late goal by Dylan Mbayo. The latter finished off a nice cross ball from Selemani. In the absolute final, Ilic prevented the equalizer of the Pandas with a sweep of his foot. A golden three-pointer for the Guys.
