The National Badminton Federation of Guatemalaat a press conference, yesterday presented to the media the realization of the VIII Guatemala International Series 2022a tournament that will feature the participation of 67 athletes from 15 nations.
The championship, which will be played from September 27 to October 2will have within the delegations the United States, Mexico, Canada, Italy, Bulgaria, Portugal, Sierra Leone, England, El Salvador, India and Trinidad and Tobago.
The five modalities that will compete are men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, ladies’ doubles and mixed. The men’s qualification round will begin on Wednesday 28, at noon. On Thursday 29, at 9:00, the championship will continue with the first and second rounds of all modalities.
On Friday 30, at the same time, the quarterfinals will be played; the semifinals will be on Saturday, October 1. To close the event, the final will be played at the same time in all its categories and branches on Sunday 2.
Among the novelties of this tournament, the sports absence of the maximum national reference of the discipline stands out, Kevin Cordonwho plans to participate in an international championship during the same dates.
