The municipal pavilion of Granadilla de Abona hosted last Saturday, September 17, a conference with the renowned judoka, Cristina Cabaña, organized by the Kanachined Canarias sports club and the collaboration of the Sports departments of the municipalities of Granadilla de Abona and Arico , the Tenerife Federation of Judo and Cabildo de Tenerife. Cabaña is in the top 20 world ranking, ninth in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, ninth in the 2021 World Cup and fifth in Europe 2022, in addition to having 10 absolute international medals and seven absolute national medals. The Councilor for General Services, Marcos Antonio Rodríguez, was present on behalf of the City Council, and Manuel Martín from the ‘Judo Granadilla’ club also attended. The internationally renowned athlete shared her techniques with more than a hundred judokas from different regional clubs in categories of juniors, children, cadets, juniors, seniors and veterans in male and female.
