Fluminense presents this Wednesday (14/09) its new third kit, developed in partnership with Umbro. The new Armor establishes a connection of origins, extolling the historical connection between Tricolor, a pioneer of football in Rio de Janeiro, England, responsible for the invention of the most popular sport in the world, and the company itself, founded exclusively for football.
It is precisely for establishing a connection between origins that the new Armor brings the first Fluminense shield on the chest. The uniform has the traditional garnet color as the main color, with darker graphics with references to the club’s initials sublimated throughout its length. On the collar, which has a “V” shape, white and red appear as an allusion to the England flag, a detail that can also be seen on the sleeves.
On the back of the shirt, below the collar, the English flag stands out above the classic Umbro diamond, which is white. On the bottom bar, Umbro’s authenticity tag was placed on one side, while the NATIONS 2022 campaign tag, stylized next to a world map, was on the other.
“The new uniform was developed from the idea of bringing to light the pioneering spirit of Fluminense as the cradle of Brazilian football, establishing a connection with England, where football was born. Therefore, by celebrating and drawing a parallel between the origins of football, the shirt brings for the first time in a uniform other than the gray and white the first badge in the history of Fluminense”, says Lucas Sodré, from the club’s marketing department.
“In this campaign, we are celebrating the legacy of nations that are part of the history not only of our partner clubs, but also of the formation of Brazil as a society. After the successful launch of Fluminense’s 120th anniversary kit, we are very excited about the reception of this new armor among the tricolor fans”, says Eduardo Dal Pogetto, director of Umbro Brasil.
The new shirt will be sold exclusively at official Fluminense stores (www.loja.fluminense.com.br) starting this Thursday (15/09). In the other stores, the sale will start on Saturday (17/09).
