Feldkirchen: Martin Hinteregger was a star guest at the big ASVÖ family sports day

On September 24th it went by now 10th ASVÖ family sports day in the NIMO Arena in Feldkirchen across the stage. More than 200 children and their companions were able to get to know and try out a wide variety of sports at numerous stations, supervised by clubs from the region.

The opening was made by ASVÖ President Christoph Schasché, Feldkirchen’s Mayor Martin Treffner and Oskar Willegger, a local councillor. After the words of welcome and a warm-up with the ASVÖ mascot “Filu Fuchs” the kids stormed the registration station to get a station pass and a T-shirt. Afterwards, the visitors could get an overview of the numerous exercise offers at the 13 sports stations and also try them out.

Judo, football, Taekwon-Do, handball, show dance, table tennis, basketball, children’s gymnastics, loopyball, sport stacking, sport shooting and much more were offered. The Red Cross Feldkirchen was there again this year to give visitors an understanding of first aid. In addition, the sports-loving children could let off steam with a bouncy castle or relax with face painting.

Another highlight was the visit of former national team player Martin Hinteregger. “Hinti” convinced himself of the sports-loving children on site and was able to put a smile on the faces of many visitors with his autograph.

The participants collected stamps at each station in order to finally take part in the competition with the full stamp pass.

After a great show by ASVÖ Judo Feldkirchen and a dance performance by Tanzstudio Inna Dörfler, the prizes were raffled. This year, Sophie Freithofnig from Feldkirchen was delighted to receive the main prize, a mountain bike sponsored by the Hervis company.
