FC Bayern: Star dissatisfied with his time! “It’s difficult” – FC BAYERN MUNICH

New signing Ryan Gravenberch (20) has only played 106 minutes in the Bundesliga. The midfielder, who moved from Ajax Amsterdam to Munich for €18.5m in the summer, is now lamenting his playing time!

Speaking to ESPN, the Dutchman said: “To be honest, yes I am. You want to play, but the coach chooses other players. I have to accept that, but it’s difficult.” Gravenberch admits he was “hoping for more minutes” when he made the move. Now he has to “keep calm”.

It is particularly important for the central midfielder that he can play more minutes after the international break to take part in the desert World Cup in November. For the current international phase, he was not nominated by national coach Louis van Gaal. “I would like to go to the World Cup. We’ll see what happens,” explains Gravenberch. He is now scheduled for the upcoming U21 games and wants to regain his self-confidence there.

With Joshua Kimmich, Leon Goretzka and Marcel Sabitzer, there is a high density of positions in sixth place at Bayern. When Goretzka was injured at the start of the season, Gravenberch was actually expected to replace him. The Dutchman made a good impression on the US preparatory trip. Surprisingly, however, Sabitzer was preferred and stuck. With the return of Goretzka, the DFB star is set.

Coach Julian Nagelsmann had said before the game in Augsburg that Goretzka, Sabitzer and Gravenberch would argue about the playing time. Therefore, the newcomer has only played in the DFB Cup at Viktoria Köln from the start.

SPORT BILD reported a week ago that Gravenberch was unhappy in Munich. Now he has publicly expressed his feelings for the first time …
