Evening of thanks at WAS for the Badminton Club of Saint-Marcel this Tuesday evening

About forty people were invited this Tuesday evening to We Are Select (WAS), a clothing store in the heart of the commercial area of ​​​​Chalon Sud.

It was Jonathan Souillot, president of the badminton club of Saint-Marcel (BCSM), who organized this evening to thank his partners but also all the volunteers of the club.

Indeed, just over 3 weeks before the long-awaited event, the Blackminton on October 7 and 8 (Editor’s note: Info Chalon told you about it here), the President thanked:

“volunteers and partners who, through your commitment, will allow us to organize this event in excellent conditions, the help of all is truly remarkable”
Jonathan told the guests present, before adding: “it’s also an opportunity to share a good time together and it was important to highlight your confidence in our association”.

Jonathan also thanked the mayor of Saint-Marcel, Raymond Burdin, his assistant in charge of sports Nathalie Couturier as well as the municipal team which regularly helps the club: Samira Piana, communication manager and Philippe Perreault, sports manager, all present for the occasion.

He also welcomed the presence of Dominique Melin, vice president of Grand Chalon in charge of sports and Karine Plissonnier, vice president of Grand Chalon also, who came to represent Sébastien Martin, president of Grand Chalon.

Axel Lesage, representative of the Bourgogne Franche-Comté league of Badminton was also present.

The president of the club then mentioned all his many partners, present but also those excused and particularly greeted Laurent Capello, director of the Sport 2000 and WAS stores, host of this evening.

Finally, in order to thank his thirty volunteers who work all year round for the proper functioning of the club and the events, and particularly for the organization of their big Blackminton event which requires a lot of investment, Jonathan, with the complicity of Laurent Capello, offered each of the volunteers a t-shirt and a sleeveless jacket bearing the image of the club and its partners.

In turn, Nathalie Couturier, Dominique Melin, and Laurent Capello then wanted to say a few words and thank the Saint-Marcel badminton club for its invitation of course, but also for its actions and its investment throughout the season. .

Laurent Capello, moreover, told a little anecdote about the choice of the host store for the evening: “it so happens that the border between Saint-Marcel and Chalon sur Saône is between my two stores, we are here this evening in Saint -Marcel at WAS but if you pass by you will find yourself in Chalon sur Saône! “.

The evening continued around a glass of friendship, notably with the traditional marquisette, concocted by Christian, a BCSM volunteer.

An evening punctuated with smiles and conviviality, as usual in the badminton club of Saint-Marcel.

As of this Wednesday morning, the volunteers have found their way back to preparations, the days are now numbered until the big Blackminton event on October 7th and 8th.
