Gilbert Novotny, a Boston Red Sox fan, dies after his team’s game and dies behind the wheel of his car. A little later, sports agent Margo Trent is wandering through town in her nightgown and is run over by a truck. Mac and his team chime in and quickly discover that the two cases are connected: a baseball found in Novotny’s car has a hair belonging to Margo Trent stuck to it.
