Ducati reigns supreme at Misano but is eyeing the return of Marc Márquez to the paddock

Medical exam this afternoon

Everything ready for the return of Marc Márquez. The Catalan, with good feelings in this last week that he has trained again, is ready to return to the World Cup and will take the first step next week in the tests that will be held in Misano after the Grand Prix. The thunder of Cervera, however, is already at the Italian circuit and during the afternoon of this Saturday he will pass the medical examination with Dr. Charte, the highest responsible of the circuit, to receive the permission to be able to ride, at last, his MotoGP this Tuesday .

Another ‘pole’ for Ducati

Jack Miller will start from the first position in this Sunday’s race. The Australian rider set an unbeatable time placing his Ducati in the noble zone of the starting grid. Miller is the eighth different ‘poleman’ in the fourteen races we have this season. Behind him, he will have “friendly fire”: five of the six bikes that will chase him once the traffic lights go out will also be from the Italian brand, but a fierce fight is guaranteed.

Aleix deflates

The Aprilia rider has not had a good weekend. The rain, which has been pouring throughout the day, has conditioned the strategy of all the teams, but both Aleix Espargaró (eighth) and Maverick Viñales (fourth) have deflated in a ‘qualy’ that was a great opportunity to put ground in the middle with one of his rivals for the World Cup. Pecco Bagnaia, despite finishing second, has a penalty for an action in the free with Àlex Márquez and will start fifth. Like him, Fabio Quartararo, world leader, will also come out ahead of the Catalan (eighth).
