Creation of a heating and geothermal network for the municipalities of Dugny and Le Bourget

Last Friday, Bruno Beschizza, President of Paris Terres d’Envol, and Yves Lederer, President of the Coriance Group, signed the public service concession contract for the creation and operation of a heating network in the municipalities of Dugny and Le Bourget, in the presence of Stéphane Troussel, President of the Department of Seine-Saint-Denis, Quentin Gesell, Mayor of Dugny, Jean-Baptiste Borsali, Mayor of Le Bourget, Amandine Buchard, Olympic vice-champion in judo and Group ambassador Coriance, and Nathalie Poncin, Media Cluster Project Director at SOLIDEO.

The Coriance Group will invest more than €56 million to create a 20 kilometer long distribution network and a heat production plant. The network will transport heat produced locally and 90% by renewable energies. By avoiding the emissions of 15,600 tons of CO2 each year, the network will become a real asset for accelerating the energy conversion of the territory.

Beyond the environmental benefits, the network will allow the inhabitants of Dugny and Le Bourget to have a competitive and stable heat price over time (decorrelated from the price of fossil fuels).

to term, the network will supply more than 9,000 housing equivalents including Le Bourget airport and the Media Village, fitted out by SOLIDEO, which will host 1,500 journalists from all over the world during the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Nearly 85 GWh of heat will be distributed per year.

In 2025, a geothermal power plant will be commissioned. It will include a geothermal doublet associated with heat pumps and 4 gas boilers used as back-up and backup. With 2,700 m² of green space, the boiler room will fit perfectly into its environment. Several facilities are planned such as a multi-sports ground or an urban vegetable garden. 275 m2 of photovoltaic panels will be installed on the roof of the plant.

In order to inform residents, subscribers and users in real time, a website is available now and a mobile application will soon be made available to them.

A propos

For 25 years, Coriance has been building, developing and operating district heating and cooling networks supplied locally by renewable energies, such as geothermal energy and biomass, to sustainably support communities and industries in their energy conversion.
