BC Paralympic archers qualify for Pan-American

Paralympic archers from Baja California, Liliana Montiel and Karen Rocha, qualified for the Parapan American Championship in Chile, by placing second in the Qualifying Round of the III Paralympic National Championship 2022 in Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo.
In the Poliforum Sports Unit, the Mexican Archery Federation held the first day in which the places in the National Team that will represent Mexico were distributed, from November 21 to 27 in Santiago 2022.
In the women’s compound bow, Liliana Montiel finished in second place with 601 points, after shooting for 312 in the first round and 289 in the second, enough to secure one of the two tickets to the continental fair in Chile, where they will be divided tickets to the Santiago 2023 Parapan American Games.
Mexicalense goalkeeper Liliana Montiel was only surpassed by the host Lya Sánchez, who won with 647, after having rounds of 325 and 322; both will carry the national colors to South American lands.
And in recurve bow, Karen Rocha, also from Mexical, was second with 427 points, after a couple of rounds of 210 and 217, being the national title for Cathia Valdes, from UNAM, with 538; with this, both will be in the continental competition in November.
