‘Ajax and Potter financial agreement; only one stumbling block left on the table’

Ajax has made a second contract offer to Graham Potter, journalist Sam C from UnitedStandMUFC and ThatsFootballTV reports on X. It is expected that a deal will be concluded, as the clubless manager and Ajax have already agreed on the financial terms.
Sam C, who seems to be well informed about all the news surrounding Potter and Ajax, writes that no agreement has yet been reached, because there is still a stumbling block. In addition to being Ajax’s trainer, Potter would also like to have a say in the club’s purchasing policy.
This would give him a similar responsibility as Erik ten Hag had in the past at the club. According to Sam C, Ajax has already communicated to Potter that it is prepared to meet the manager’s conditions. Potter will then be given a managerial role within the club, with Kroes and Potter together ‘forming a tandem within the transfer process’.
Algemeen Dagblad journalist Johan Inan wrote on Tuesday morning that Ajax was in danger of missing out on the currently club-less Potter in the search for a new trainer. According to him, there would be too big a difference between supply and demand in the financial field. Ajax therefore ‘tended’ to switch to another candidate on the shortlist: the only 35-year-old Francesco Farioli.
