The Slovenia it must officially stop in the quarter-finals of Eurobasket 2022, eliminated in the last minutes from Poland by a sensational Ponitka. First of all, congratulations to Poland. They played an extraordinary game, for them the semifinals are a great result and they deserved it. We went out on the pitch without energy, after the comeback we died anyway and they had more, good for them. I was probably not at 100% physically, in the third quarter I missed a lot of shots but not because of the physical problems; I played very badly, I disappointed my team and the whole country that was cheering for us. It’s my fault, I have to remember this match to become a better player. This year there are many strong teams at the European Championships, I had said that about Belgium and also about Poland. There have been some great matches to watch, thanks to all these good teams. Ponitka is a great player, we have already played against a couple of times and I knew him. He played a great game, I’m not a GM but I think he could also play in the NBA.
At this point, Poland advances to the semi-finals of EuroBasket 2022 where they will meet France – which has instead eliminated the blues of Gianmarco Pozzecco in a match finished only after the overtime. In the other match of competence, however, there will be the match between the hosts of Germany against Spain.
