INDOSPORT. COM – AC Milan has prepared tactical steps, if later forced to sell one of its star players, Rafael Leao.
In the summer transfer market of 2022 yesterday, Rafael Leao was intensely approached by the English Premier League giants, Chelsea.
The Blues reportedly even dared to make a direct offer of 100 million euros, which was then flatly rejected by Milan.
Sempremilan said that there is still a possibility for Chelsea to come back to seduce Leao when the January 2023 winter transfer window period opens.
If it still fails, Chelsea is believed to be ready to make a more tempting offer in the summer transfer market next year.
On the other hand, Milan’s management continues to try hard to keep Leao from leaving, by offering a new contract.
But until now, Leao and Milan have not yet reached an agreement, they are still negotiating about the salary value in the new contract.
If Milan fail to renew Leao’s contract, it is not impossible that they will finally have to let the Portuguese player go.
The management of the Rossoneri is apparently already alert to the worst possible possibility that may befall them in the future.
They also reportedly have tactical steps that will greatly help the team in responding to Leao’s potential departure.
